Battery Monitoring System (Final Year Project – Ngee Ann Polytechnic)
This project was developed as part of my Final Year Project (FYP) at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP). It involved designing and building a Battery Monitoring System (BMS) for a robot developed by the NP Robotics team.
The BMS was designed to monitor, manage, and ensure the safe operation of the robot’s battery. Key features of the system include:
Battery Metrics Monitoring: Real-time tracking of battery percentage, capacity, voltage, and current during charge/discharge cycles.
Safety Monitoring: Integration of sensors to detect temperature, humidity, and smoke, with an automated buzzer and LED alert system for abnormal conditions.
Data Logging & Visualization: Continuous logging of battery data to Google Sheets and a 24/7 web server display with a user-friendly interface for remote monitoring. coding languages used: c/c++, json & html
